Hello!
My name is Jo Bryan and I'm the owner/photographer at Jo Bryan Photography LLC, based in Rye, NY.
I specialize in newborn, family and headshot photography, and 4 years ago introduced a unique version of school photos with the aim of 'redefining' school photography. Gone are the days of cheesy backdrops and forced smiles - I want to capture your children as you see them, with their unique personalities shining through.

Style
Introducing a new kind of school photography. Say goodbye to forced cheesy smiles and crazy, distracting backgrounds! My aim is to focus on each child’s individual personality and highlight those sweet preschooler expressions. Parents will be presented with photos they'll be happy to display in their home and that show their child as they are in this brief moment in time. Allowing them to just be themselves, the session experience is relaxed and fun and the photos are modern, simple, timeless and classic!

How does it all work?
I arrange a meeting with your school (in person or by phone) to introduce myself and go over the process in more detail.
We select dates and I provide you with an information pdf that can be emailed to parents, including a link to all the information on my website. NO FORM FILLING OR PRE-PAYMENT/PRE-ORDERING IS REQUIRED!
Photos are taken indoors so we're not reliant on the weather, and 2-3 weeks after the final photo day I provide you with a list of online class gallery links to be sent out to parents.
Galleries are password protected and each child has their own album in their class gallery. Parents choose which photos/digital files they would like to purchase and there is a $35 minimum order requirement.
Prints and digital files are ordered and paid for directly from the viewing gallery and the ordering process is simple and secure.
Once purchased, digital file orders arrive immediately via a downloadable link sent to the parent's email address.
Print orders are dropped off to your school within 4 weeks.
Larger sized prints and additional products are also available for purchase by contacting me directly.
Parents are encouraged to contact me by email or phone with any questions.
What should the children wear?
- Solid colors, simple patterns and simple necklines work best.
- Avoid white which doesn't photograph well against the neutral backdrop.
- Avoid busy patterns, large logos or clothing with writing on the front which tend to draw your eye away from their gorgeous faces and can be distracting!
- All photos are shoulder up so don't worry too much about shoes!
